- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆I have been banking with Lake Sunapee since I got out of college in 2009 and have loved it. Their mobile deposits had been convenient and were available at three times during the day, depending on when you deposited it. They did not give a hard time about overdraft fees if you got the money in quickly, and their communication has been excellent. However, they recently merged with Bar Harbor Bank and Trust and all of that is home. I deposited a check on Friday afternoon, where before I would have had it available 45 minutes later, it is now Tuesday night at 7:45 and it still isn't there, despite assurances that it would be at 5. Their fees have gone up 2 dollars, with no warning, and last weekend, they did an upgrade to their entire system, shutting the bank down for 3 days and all they did was send out a letter to account holders, which I never received. I would recommend you take your money elsewhere, if you want to use it.By Jack Chandler, August 15, 2017
